MY 1st TIME

In 1982 at the influental age of 13, i found my way to my local thrift store. My purchase was a wool plaid pencil skirt, a turquoise worsted wool 50's overcoat and a pair of bowling shoes, which I wore to my first day of 8th grade. Yes, I was what we called a "WAVO! Totally Go-Go's! My mom was so happy, because at the same time my little sister was asking for pink Izods and Docksiders...luckily it was only a phase and the pink Izod was soon upcycled by cutting off the sleeves, a few well placed holes and safety Pins (Punk Rock!). In the late 80's I found a way to make a living from my thrift store addiction, when I got a job at Resale Shop and turned my closet into cash to support my habit.
While the years have passed and lifes twists and turns steered me in other directions, I always kept my passion for fashion and design in many realms; a caremicist, co-owner and designer in my husbands furniture design and fabrication studio, clothing design studio (using vintage and retro materials) and boutique in the 2001 & 2002 with a talented girlfriend and other smaller projects through the years. I have now come full circle and found my way back to one of my first passions and a new and modern way to bring it to the public in this cyber world.
